I adore the piano, the physical instrument, its sound and its repertoire, with a passion which borders on an obsession: in fact, I am not sure what I would do without it now. My writing and my teaching allow me to share my passion with others, and to forge fruitful and inspiring connections with like-minded people.

I’m really happy to be working with composer @thomashewittjones again, this time on a brand new choral commission to mark the 150th anniversary of Rochester Choral Society. The work, which celebrates the history of Rochester Jn Kent, will be premiered in Rochester Cathedral on 18 March
The “mixtape” featured heavily in my teenage years and early 20s before the advent of CDs, and was an important part of my listening experience. The mixtape was a homemade compilation of music, recorded onto a cassette tape, usually from a vinyl LP, or the radio.
